Do you need a Break?
"You cannot pour from an empty cup"
One of the most important things we MUST do as parents is recharge when we can. As a summer job in college, I worked for the Williamson County Rec center providing respite care for special needs kids at a summer camp. I loved working with them so much I stayed on staff through the year working Saturdays to provide respite at the Franklin location. The rec center provides respite care for kids with both medical and intellectual needs. It is offered once a month from September through April. You must live in Williamson County to qualify. From what I can tell the respite location is now in Nolensville.
*Please note that you can always hire a private babysitter and get reimbursement through Katie Beckett!
Having trouble finding a sitter you trust? Join this group!!! We have had the best luck finding amazing sitters here. Most of these Belmont OT students already have experience working with the special needs population.
